It was a chaotic scene along the 700 block of Forest Avenue on Sunday morning, as a protest against vaccine mandates was held at the same time Gov. Kathy Hochul was campaigning across the street for local Democrats. A crowd of at least 300 people began to assemble at about 10 a.m. on the commercial strip in West Brighton, carrying anti-vaccine signs, waving flags that read “F— Biden” and chanting “hold the line!”.
